With so many designers bringing back past trends like neon’s and black lace, it only seemed appropriate to think of other trends that may have been lost in the mix. And while it’s not a trend per-say, the colour teal hasn’t been given as much love and attention as the vivid hybrid of blue and green deserves. So I say, let’s bring back the faded color in all it’s glory.
The great thing about this color is that depending on the shade, bright or subdued, it looks great with every skin tone and hair color. Whether paired with a great pair of black leather pants or incorporated into a print, there is no going wrong with the jewel tone. It’s also one shade that can be manipulated for both summer and winter wardrobes, and it looks great with both silver and gold accessories. I know the word itself may be a little intimidating and may be associated with heinous brights gone bad, but the beauty of teal did not die in the 1980′s with the over-teased hairdo.
So what are you waiting for, go find a tantalizingly teal item.
