Givenchy Couture Fall 2011

At first glance, the Givenchy Couture Fall 2011 collection seems rather simple, but upon further investigation, the intensity of intricate detailing jumps off the gowns. Remaining loyal to his direction of  ”purity, lightness, fragility,” designer Riccardo Tisci created a masterpiece composed of 10 gowns exquisitely demonstrating the time and effort put into every iota of the collection. The small collection is truly a work of art in its own rite.

The strategic draping of white sheer, hand-sewen rosettes and precise beading work creates a romantic feeling across the 10 flowing gowns. The peak-a-boo patches of sheer and lace accompany the plunging back lines to create a sophisticated sex appeal living among the soft delicate designs. Each gown is individually unique whether distinguished by ostrich feathers, multi-tiered ruffle work, lace appliques, or tiny crystal embellishments. The time and thought behind this collection is purely couture, with each detail meticulously done by hand, resulting in a product suitable for an angel on Earth.
