The notoriously over the top designer Francesco Scognamiglio has mixed it up a little with his Resort 2012 collection. Rather than going for the dramatic, this collection sees more wearable designs than usual, with super leggy looks featuring mini dresses, shorts and deep slips. The modern designs have a fabulously old school look to them that shines through the lace and mesh.
The mini dresses with ultra short hem lines complimented by the 1960′s inspired long sleeves offer a fun variation to the typical cocktail wear. Scognamiglio’s use of mesh is surprisingly glamorous in the face of its semi-punk heritage and works in edgy unison with the neon colors and lace detailing. The sleek tailored bottoms accompanied by the oversized tshirts introduce a more casual side to the different looks.
