Australian native super model Nicole Trunfio may look slicked back and serious on the runway, but in everyday life she is a carefree traveler, eager to see the world. The model turned jewellry maker has been using New York City as her home base, as she travels around living out of her suitcase. Her whimsical approach to life, credited to her current reading of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, is inspiring. She claims “It’s like being Dorothy – one day I will get home, but at the moment I’m enjoying the ride.”
And we can learn a thing or two from her adventure, like detaching ourselves from the monotony of life. “I love having no daily routine … it’s quite freeing, you feel like you’re the air, you go where the wind takes you.” I think we can all probably let go a little in order to see which direction life will blow us next.
Focusing now on her jewelry line Eight And A Half Jewelry, her latest project aimed, in her words to “empower women” with silver statement necklaces inspired by ancient female rulers. Keep an eye out for their release, they’re sure to add that perfect something missing.
